𝗜𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 (𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗥𝗧) 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.

Today we have a guest post from our very own Liam!

I had a great time this past week attending the 𝗜𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 (𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗥𝗧) 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.

A big thank you to Sue and Jennifer for putting together such a fantastic event. The organization, turnout, and overall energy throughout the conference made it clear how impactful ISSRT is in supporting and advancing the radiologic technology community across Illinois.

One of the highlights for me was the 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. The level of engagement, curiosity, and excitement they brought was incredible. It was especially rewarding to watch them get hands-on with technology like the 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝘀𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗠𝟴𝟱, ask thoughtful questions, and really lean into the learning experience. Moments like that reinforce how important it is to connect education with real-world innovation.

Events like ISSRT play a huge role in not only continuing education, but also in building confidence and enthusiasm in the next generation of technologists. Being able to contribute to that, even in a small way, is something I don’t take for granted.

Already looking forward to the next opportunity to connect with this group.
